I think he is great, encouraging and upbuilding, shame we dont have enough like him now adays.

anyways, i find him a bit harsh and unloving in the way he deals with the congregations and i was shocked how he rebuked with peter.

i am a df'd person hoping to return to the fold.
i am not critical of the decision to df me nor of the loving organization i believe to be in the palm of jesus hand.. i would find it most encouraging to hear from others who feel the same and would like to "hold hands" on the way back.. this board is hailed as a supportive respectful place so if you do not fit this description may i ask you to move on and not hinder the participants here in following their god given right to pursue their goal.

How on earth will that kind of treatment ever encourage anyone to turn to Jah. Wheres the balance!!?? It so annoys me when some (actually alot) withing the congregations feel THEY have been given the authority to judge!! Grrrrrr hello, they need to open their eyes before armegeddon or they are in for a big wakeup call.

What do you need to do to get FIRED around here?
by lepermessiah inseinfeld fans - remember the episode where george is so desperate to get fired by the yankees that he does all these things to defy the boss and still keeps his job?.
well, i have been going through the same thing at the kh.
i havent been to a thursday meeting in weeks, i am getting like 2 hours of field circus a month (just mailing it in while my fade progresses) i dont comment, most people know that i would rather not be there, etc...... so i go last night since it is the co visit, and my wife really wanted me to come.

Jamiebowers, thats pure rotten what they did, they obviously didnt like the idea of the kingdom hall being tarnished, but then they need to sift through rotten weeds and be keeping the wheat safe and clean. Jesus loved children and yet sadly often within the truth they are pushed to oneside.

with local membership declining, the congregation has merged with the kingdom hall in rockland.. .
said the two congregations recently decided to combine to be spiritually stronger ... so we can continue to do our preaching work, and take care of one another.. .

What if those df'd......could they?

so my question is, if someone was df'd for instance for divorcing there partner for having gay relations and this was years ago when there wasnt grounds for it, so they were df'd, if now because the understanding has changed, could they appeal and be reinstated with a public apology?.

Do you think ex Jehovah's Witnesses make better people?
by kriptonian7 ini am new to this forum and i just stumbled upon it and have been intrigued with the comments and experiences.
i have not been envolved for a long time now but my entire family is still is.
grandparents, mother, my step dad, and my entire family on my grandmothers side.. but most everyone here, from what i have noticed, has strengthened my belief that if you were a jw at one point, you now are a stronger and better person for it.
